Film description

An attractive playwright renounces all relationships with women and moves to a provincial hermitage, but a provocative, unpredictable girl appears in his path. The initial misunderstanding quickly turns in to an erotically loaded game with unusual rules. On top of that, an avant-garde theatrical company, managed by someone from the protagonist’s past, appears on his doorstep.

Filled with plot twists, the film is the director’s play with the expectations of the audiences and the conventions of the genre. The production, shot according to the rules set by Nikkatsu, is so much more than just a surreal sex-comedy. Despite the tiny budget and just seven days of shooting, "Wet Woman in the Wind" mesmerizes with its original plot, nonchalant realization, and the ability to combine spicy scenes with a meaningful message. Shiota creates a subversive story about relationship dynamics, analyzes power relations, and undermines commonplace assumptions about relations between men and women, creating an ironic, vivid, and extremely hot narration.
