Once again together with the Asian Film Awards Academy, we prepared for the Five Flavours audience a special selection of films which are the best representation of the Asian film industry latest achievements.

A Vietnamese tale in the heart of Warsaw: "The Taste of Pho" at Five Flavours!

This year there is one more flavour to enrich the festival – "The Taste of Pho". Already in November, we invite you to the great opening night attended by the authors of the film.

Another name on the Five Flavours guest list! Pema Tseden will bring two of his films to the Festival - a chamber drama "Balloon" and "Jinpa" produced by Wong Kar-wai.

The Great Comebacks - Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit and Midi Z in this year's Masters section!

The Five Flavours programme will include names well known to our audience. Two-time winner of the New Asian Cinema competition, Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit, and the guest of the 7th edition, Midi Z, will present their latest films in our section of the Masters.

A genius made in Hong Kong. We announce the full program of Fruit Chan’s retrospective!

The chief provocateur of Hong Kong cinema will visit Warsaw this year. On this occasion, the audience of Five Flavours will watch his best films, and what's more, will have a unique opportunity to meet the director face to face.

Asian Horror Night returns!

The scariest screenings of the year are coming closer. Three extremely dark stories will perfectly lead to the atmosphere of the Halloween, and at the same time will be a prelude to the forthcoming edition of Five Flavours. This year thrill will be doubled: join us for one of two Asian Horror Nights!

Laughter among the bones of the dead. We reveal another Japanese title, from sunny Okinawa.

We reveal another film from the program dedicated to Japanese peripheries. The section Japan: Out of Focus will feature a sensitive comedy drama entitled "Bone, Born, Bone" (2018) directed by Teruya Toshiyuki.

New Asian Cinema: Asian explosive mixture coming to Warsaw!

Korean comedy in Keret's style, Maggie, filled with symbols Red Phallus from Bhutan, psychological horror from Singapore, Repossession, subtle Indian indie Bulbul Can Sing, and quintessencially youthfull And Your Bird Can Sing from Japan - will be presented in the New Asian Cinema competition during the 13th edition of the Five Flavours Film Festival.
