Film description
A dark, yet stunningly beautiful thriller, set in the foggy forests of Taiwan. A man working in a restaurant suddenly loses consciousness. His friends drive him to his father, who lives in the country and takes care of a hill-spread flower farm in solitude. Soon it turns out that the protagonist is not himself anymore – perhaps it is possession, or maybe a refined form of madness, which leads to a family psychodrama. Mong-hong meticulously builds up the tension and masterfully joins a stylish horror with an auteur touch, discretely enriching the plot with an insightful philosophical reflection on the connection between the body and the soul.
