Film description

A story about growing up, love, and violence. Three school friends on the verge of adulthood take three separate roads: one of the boys hides feelings for his male friend, the second becomes a leader of a school gang, the third – his victim. The film is a moving diagnosis of the problems in the Korean society: not just homophobia, but also the pressure exerted by schools, and the hellish exams, which train the youth to compete but not to make emotional connections. The complex relations between the boys are shown with a lot of psychological insight, and the poetically composed shots give the story a universal dimension.
