Film description
The title comes from a name of a dog, who doesn't at all resemble those lovely pets from popular comedies. The name, Bwakaw, is a colloquial adjective for someone greedy, rapacious, and egoistic. It also characterizes the dog's owner: a brusque 70 year old man, who has already given up on his life. But behind this unwelcoming facade, he hides a life-long frustration. He is gay, and he has only recentlydecided to come out. Now he must deal with his loneliness and the regret of living a lie. The director combines melancholy with black humor and social sensitivity, wrapping his unconventional script in an intriguing visual form.
