Film description

Yeo-rae, a pop culture star, was beloved by the whole country. Her streak of good fortune ended when she starred in a science fiction film that flopped and became the subject of ridicule. However, her sudden career breakdown and escape from the public sphere seem to be the beginning of a true love story. Yeo-rae meets a wealthy, handsome businessman Jonathan (one of the last roles of Lee Sun-kyun, who died tragically last year), who wraps his loving male arm around her. But is he really so perfect? And how can Bum-woo, a pretty unlucky boy who lives next door and knows all of Yeo-rae's old films, help the former star?

From a pastiche musical to an ecological thriller starring an ostrich starved for revenge, "Killing Romance" changes tones and genres at a frantic pace to tell a colorful and inventive story about the problems of contemporary South Korea, and create the country’s formally boldest film in years!
