Film description

Mây takes action that cannot be undone and starts bigger chaos rather than balancing the current world of her own. „Entropy” is not only Polish-Vietnamese culture clash, it showcases a social entropy process that collides and reaches to the core of inconvenient questions that we are about to answer and take responsibility for. Invisible loss can never be retrieved.

(producer's synopsis)

We invite you to the premiere of “Entropy” – the feature debut of a Polish-Vietnamese director, created with the participation of Warsaw’s Vietnamese community. The film offers an authentic portrayal of identity and cultural dilemmas grounded in the realities of the Vietnamese diaspora. These are experiences rarely depicted in Polish cinema, making its premiere at Five Flavours especially significant to us – promoting such works is central to the festival's mission.

After the screening, a discussion with the filmmakers will take place, focusing on the changes within the Vietnamese community in recent years, particularly with the coming of age of the generation born in Poland. This is a unique opportunity to foster multicultural dialogue, especially as more films about the Vietnamese diaspora are emerging, created by a generation whose experiences differ from those of the older one.
