Film description

Cheng Yau-chun finds a letter in his classroom, indicating that one of his students is planning to take his own life. The teacher will do anything to find out who it is before it is too late. This situation will also force Cheng to relive the painful memories from his youth. The two timelines begin to intertwine, the trauma comes back. Is it possible to overcome it?

Inspired by true events, this intense and emotionally engaging story deals with a taboo of Hong Kong reality – domestic violence, and the insane expectations towards children. Tender, emphatic stories about ordinary people have been Hongkong cinema’s greatest strength in recent years. The success of Nick Cheuk's debut is yet another proof of it.
