The Asian Academy returns to Five Flavours this year, offering a series of meetings dedicated to deepening the understanding of Asian cinema through special events — debates, discussions, and cross-disciplinary talks that explore broader contexts. These sessions will be led by experts in various aspects of Asian cultures, providing fresh perspectives on interpreting films and uncovering subtle, often overlooked layers within this year's programme. This is a unique opportunity to delve beyond the films themselves, as we explore literary, culinary, film criticism, queer, and countercultural themes.
