Volunteering

Applications for the volunteer programme are open until 11 October 2026.

We are looking for people who would like to help us create the next edition of the festival and see what goes on behind the scenes. Five Flavours brings together energetic, open-minded and committed people who share a passion for Asian cinema and culture. We encourage applications from those who are communicative, reliable and open to new experiences.

The 20th edition of the festival will take place in cinemas in Warsaw from 10 to 17 November 2026 and online from 10 November to 6 December 2026. 

Volunteer applications are accepted until 11 October, and the results of the recruitment will be sent out by 16 October.

What do we offer?

Volunteers attend film screenings free of charge, as well as the accompanying meetings with filmmakers, panel discussions and all other festival side events. They also have the chance to make unique connections with Asian cinema lovers from all over Poland and the world. Before the festival begins, we provide organisational training to help you prepare for working at the event. We provide a volunteer agreement, insurance and a certificate of completed volunteer service. 

What does volunteer work involve?

Volunteering means working voluntarily for the festival, supporting its organisation – from running cinema screenings and side events, to looking after guests and helping with the online edition. Volunteers work in shifts, so volunteering can be combined with other commitments, such as studies or a job. The scope of duties and the work schedule are agreed individually, based on declared availability, experience and preferences.

Volunteering at the Five Flavours Film Festival includes:

• festival audience services;
• staffing information points and the festival shop;
• helping to run accompanying events;
• assisting festival guests;
• helping to create the festival's social media content;
• organisational and logistical support before and during the festival;
• checking content on the festival's online platform.
