People's Jury at 18th Five Flavours Asian Film Festival
The People’s Jury is a unique project where passionate and energetic film enthusiasts judge competition films and decide which one will receive the Grand Prix of the Five Flavours Asian Film Festival. They also participate in intensive industry workshops. Three years ago, we decided to expand participation in the program by launching the International People’s Jury project. This year, we again invite Asian cinema enthusiasts from all over Europe to Warsaw!
Do you love Asian cinema and dream of meeting people with whom you can discuss the films of Wong Kar Wai, Bong Joon-ho, or Zhang Yimou? Are you interested in film festivals and want to learn how they are organized? Apply to the People's Jury of the 18th Five Flavours Asian Film Festival!
The idea behind the International People's Jury is simple – 10 Asian cinema buffs from all over Europe will meet in Warsaw at the 18th edition of the Five Flavours Film Festival to watch and discuss titles of the New Asian Cinema competition section, and choose its winner. The jury deliberations will be accompanied by festival programming & criticism workshops.
During an 8-day intense stay in Warsaw, Jury members have a chance to widen their film horizons, hone their film criticism skills, learn about festival landscape, and participate in the dynamic festival life.
All activities, meetings, and discussions will be conducted in English. The organizers of the People’s Jury project will provide participants with transport to and from Warsaw within Poland, hotel accommodation for the duration of the workshops, meals, tutoring during the festival, and festival accreditation. We also encourage participation from people outside Poland if they can arrange their transport from abroad at their own cost.
