Case study: New Korean Cinema, or how to build a strong film industry?

About the event

A conversation with Bastian Meiresonn, an expert on Asian cinema, collaborator with a number of European film festivals, and author of the recently published book "Hallyuwood: The Ultimate Guide to Korean Cinema". We will talk about the history of New Korean Cinema—about how it came to be that the Han River became the birthplace of the strongest national cinema of the 21st century. We will discuss moments of glory and the greatest masterpieces, but also failures and an uncertain future.
