About the event
How does one experience a film full of visual fireworks when words replace images? Following the screening of the cult musical “Stardust Brothers”, presented with audio description, we invite the audience to a discussion on accessibility in cinema, on how film can be experienced, heard, and felt in different ways.
The meeting will be an opportunity for an exchange of experiences between sighted and blind participants, exploring how sound, rhythm, and descriptive language can become a new way of “seeing”. We will also reflect on how accessibility broadens our understanding of cinema: not only as a visual art form, but as a shared space for experiencing emotions and meanings together. In the age of digital technologies and growing social awareness, accessibility is no longer an add-on. It is a necessity and an expression of care for the diversity of audiences.
