This year, for the nineteenth time, we’ll take our audience on a journey across the Asian continent, showcasing just how diverse, daring, and stylish Asian cinema can be. We invite you to explore a program that’s especially rich this year!
The 19th Five Flavours features 50 films across eight sections! You’ll find both art-house works that sharply examine the condition of contemporary Asian societies and pure entertainment reminding us why we love cinema — to laugh and cry together with on-screen heroes. This year’s lineup includes portraits of youth whose energy has been shaking the status quo for decades, nostalgic journeys into the past, and fresh takes on the classic works of masters whose brilliance is revived through digital restorations.
A new addition this year is the “Aftertastes” online section, revisiting films previously screened at our festival — titles that deserve renewed attention from viewers all over Poland. What unites them all is uncompromising quality. We invite you to explore this year’s program and share our passion!
Five Flavours takes place simultaneously in Warsaw cinemas — Muranów, Kinoteka, and Kinomuzeum at the Museum of Modern Art — from November 12–19, and online throughout Poland at piecsmakow.pl from November 12–30.
Replicas of the festival will be held in Poznań (Kino Pałacowe), Wrocław (Kino Nowe Horyzonty), Gdańsk (Kino Spektrum), and Łódź (Narodowe Centrum Kultury Filmowej).
