Jakarta, 1980s. TheSuwono family lives in an overwhelming concrete block of flats straight from a futuristic nightmare. The incoming heavy rain will cut the inhabitants off from the rest of the world, heralding the arrival of the evil and the materialization of their worst fears. Soon, the shabby halls of the building will fill with the screams of people whose only goal will be to survive till the morning.
With "Satan's Slaves 2," Anwar asserts his position as one of the best horror directors in the world. As he returns to his hit from a few years back, he is not trying to reinvent the genre. Instead, he is making good use of its classic tricks. The vivid world he created is absolutely stunning – dangerous, claustrophobic, weirdly beautiful, with elements of dark humor. The director's favorites, Tara Basro and Bront Palarae, this time were cast in supporting roles, making space for promising young actors. "Satan's Slaves 2" guarantee great entertainment and a sleepless night after the screening.

Born in 1976, director and screenwriter, widely regarded as one of the most original Indonesian filmmakers. He studied space engineering and was a film critic. He made his debut with a hit comedy "Joni's Promise" and is praised for his subversive, surprising scripts making clever use of genre schemes to raise controversial topics and portray modern reality. In 2016, he visited the 10th Five Flavours with his film "A Copy of My Mind."
