Radio Asia: A Vietnamese ethno-jazz duo in Hydrozagadka
After the film craze of Five Flavours Film Festival, it's time for some music. Performing on December 22nd, in Hydrozagadka club in Warsaw is a Vietnamese ethno-jazz duo: Nguyen Le & Ngo Hong Quang.
"0.5 mm" wins the 9th Five Flavours, "Siti" receives the Special Mention
The main award of the 9th edition of the Festival goes to "0.5 mm" directed by Momoko Ando. People's Jury also awarded a Special Mention to "Siti" directed by Eddie Cahyono.
Monday: Taiwanese wuxia masterpieces
One of the highlights of the fifth day of Five Flavours is a Taiwanese evening with King Hu's films at the Kino Muranow cinema.
Chen Shiang-chyi honoured at the 51st Golden Horse Awards
Chen Shiang-chyi was named the best actress at the 51st Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival. She earned the Golden Horse Award for her performance in "Exit" directed by Chienn Hsiang. The title was presented also at the 8th Five Flavours.
16th Taipei Film Festival: features, documentaries, and the Polish Focus
Taipei Film Festival is a celebration of Taiwanese cinema. In its diverse sections, the Festival presents also non-Taiwanese films, which this year include over 30 titles from Poland.
Udine Far East Film Festival: A Strong Representation from the Philippines
This year, the Udine Audience Awards went to a Japanese war super-production The Eternal Zero (dir. Takashi Yamazaki), a Korean courtroom drama The Attorney (dir. Yang Woo-seok), and a small, intimate Barber's Tale (dir. Jun Robles Lana) from the Philippines.
