Film description
Leonor loves action movies to pieces. In the 1980s, she was a prominent filmmaker with a long list of blockbusters to her name. Today, she is broke and the pile of unpaid bills sucks out her will to live. Her only chance to get back in the saddle is a recently announced film script competition. Leonor dusts off her old unfinished project about the adventures of the brave Ronwaldo on a mission to avenge the death of his brother. A strange accident brings the writer and her protagonist closer than she ever thought possible.
Leonor Will Never Die is a uniquely original, bitter-sweet journey into the magical world of cinema. Cinema that is not always perfect, often exaggerated, but filled with exciting, unrestricted action, and immortal heroes who, even among flying bullets, always have the time for a biting comeback.
This narratively innovative story, seething with daring ideas, gleams with the debuting director’s purest love for life and the movies, especially the old Philippine action cinema.

Philippine director and cinematographer, born in Manila in 1992. Before her debut, Leonor Will Never Die, she worked as a freelancer in local production houses, and made a number of shorts that captured the attention of festival audiences.
