Film description
"10 Years Thailand" was created as part of pan-Asian project, the idea started with the immensly popular independent Hong Kong production "10 Years", which was screened in the New Asian Cinema competiton section at 10th Five Flavours. This unique science-fiction franchise gathered filmmakers from Thailand, Taiwan and Japan, who created anthology films envisioning the future of their own countries. "10 Years Thailand" premiered at this year's Cannes IFF, warmly welcomed by the film critics as well as the public.
"10 Years Thailand" consists of short novels: "Sunset", "Catopia", "Planetarium", "Song of the City".
Aditya Assarat
Born in 1972 in Bangkok. He left Thailand at the age of 15 to pursue education in the United States. He studied history at New York University, and it was during that time that he became interested in filmmaking. He earned a master's degree in film production from the University of Southern California in 2000. He moved back to Thailand and continued shooting short films and TV programs, worked for MTV Thailand among others. In 2006 Aditya and friends Soros Sukhum and Jetnipith Teerakulchanyut formed their own production company, Pop Pictures, making television commercials, music videos, TV programs and films. His debut feature "Wonderful Town" was shown in the Forum section at the 2008 Berlin IFF and won a prestigious Tiger Award at the IFF Rotterdam.

Apichatpong Weerasethakul
Born in 1970 in Bangkok. Grew up in Khon Kaen, a city in the north east of Thailand, both of his parents are medical doctors. He has a degree in Architecture from Khon Kaen University and a Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been making short films since the early 90s. His full-feature fiction debut, "Blissfully Yours", won the Un Certain Regard prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. His next films continued to gain critical acclaim and cinephile following, especially in the context of Slow Cinema.

Chulayarnnon Siriphol
Born in Bangkok in 1986 where he currently lives and works as a filmmaker and visual artist. He creates short, experimental films, documentary and video installation which are focusing on personal and social memory, individual experience and national identity narratives, documentary and fiction, reality and supernatural. He experiments with different forms of media, analogue or digital (VHS or 4D animation), often referring and creatively using its features as an element of the narrative itself. His works have been screened in many film festivals and exhibitions in Asia and Europe.

Wisit Sasanatieng
Born in 1963 in Bangkok, he is a Thai new wave filmmaker of Chinese descent. Studied at the Faculty of Decorative Arts at Silpakorn University, where he was classmates with Nonzee Nimibutr - filmmaker, whose works are said to be the beginning of new wave movement in Thailand. After graduation, in order to support himself and be able to complete author projects as a filmmaker, cartoonist and illustrator, Sasanatieng started working at the Film Factory, where he collaborated with Pen-ek Ratanaruang. He completed television commercials for Wrangler Jeans and very popular one for MK Restaurants hot pot chain in Thailand. He entered the film industry as a screenwriter for two of Nonzee Nimibutr's films, "Dang Bireley's and Young Gangsters" (1997) and the ghost thriller "Nang Nak" (1999). Sasanatieng directed his full-feature debut in 2000 "Tears of the Black Tiger", which was the first Thai film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
