Film description

A dynamic story set in the capital city of Bhutan, Thimpu. Coldhearted usurers pull a young man with a gambling problem into debt. Luckily, Penjore is popular with the ladies and won’t hesitate to make use of their kindness. He directs his tender glances at the resourceful Mendrel. He is not the only one, though – the woman’s outstanding beauty has already mesmerized the honest, candid Tenzin.

The gripping, dramatic plot is a modern tale of tragic dilemmas, cold-blooded swindles, and the power of true love. The multi-themed structure shows the life in modern Bhutan – its dynamic development and ambitious young people making use of new possibilities, but also its inherent dangers and problems.
