Open call: Volunteer at Far East Film Festival
Become one of the volunteers at Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy. Learn more about the work of festival organisers, improve your skills and meet new friends and cinema lovers.
The Far East Film Festival is an event dedicated to Asian cinema, and has been called "the richest film festival in the Far East in Europe". It is held in Udine, in Friuli, in the second half of April since 1999. It is currently the most important European event dedicated to Asian popular cinema.
Position is dedicated to people, who have already been volunteering at Five Flavours FF or have been a member of People's Jury. Fluency in English, both spoke and written is required. Knowledge of the Italian or an Asian language (f.ex Japanese, Mandarin, Kantonese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean) will be an additional advantage.
Volunteer will be helping in one or more of the following areas:
- assistance to the Festival Management
The volunteer should interact with the Festival Manager, the Organizing Secretary and the VIP Guests Hospitality Coordinator and Campus organizer.
- assistance to the Industry projects
The volunteer would interact with the Industry Coordinator, the Project Manager and the Meetings Coordinators.
- assistance to the Press Office
A good knowledge of written and spoken English is required, knowledge of Italian or Asian languages would be of help.
Tasks would be basically those of Office work, writing emails, preparing letters, making calls, updating databases and websites and assisting in the daily management of the activities during the Festival.
Dates: From March 11 to May 12 - 63 days
Financial conditions:
Accomodation: (student room) 800 €, 400 € per month
Food: 1300 Euro, 20 € per day for 65 days
Other Expenses: 200 €
Allowance: 1600 €, 800 € per month
Total: 3900 €
Organisers also cover costs of the flight and insurance.
